Emerald acquires Kitchen & Bath Canada Expo, plans Nov 2025 relaunch
Emerald Holding Inc. has acquired the Kitchen & Bath Canada Expo from ExpoHut and will relaunch the trade show Nov. 5-6, 2025, at the Toronto Congress Centre.
The company, which produces the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, will partner with the National Kitchen & Bath Association to operate the Canadian event.
"The demand for a nationally focused, high-quality kitchen and bath experience in Canada is undeniable," said Brian Pagel, executive vice president at Emerald.
The expo will target Canadian architects, designers, builders and remodelers with product displays, education sessions and networking opportunities.
Bill Darcy, global president and CEO of NKBA, said the partnership combines Emerald's event production experience with the association's industry expertise.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Comexposium names Pablo Nakhlé Cerruti as new CEO
Comexposium has appointed Pablo Nakhlé Cerruti as its new chief executive officer, the events company announced.
Nakhlé Cerruti, 42, will assume the role Aug. 25. He replaces Renaud Hamaide, who has led the company since 2010.
The board of directors said it has "full confidence in his ability to continue the growth trajectory of the Comexposium group."
Nakhlé Cerruti currently serves as president of Copheam and managing director in charge of diversification at Mediawan. From 2018 to 2023, he was CEO of Viparis, a European trade shows company.
He previously worked in the French finance ministry and at Unibail-Rodamco. Nakhlé Cerruti graduated from Sciences Po Strasbourg in 2004.
UFI to host 2027 Global Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico
UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, will host its 2027 Global Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The 94th UFI Global Congress will take place Nov. 3-6, 2027, at Expo Guadalajara. The Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the event.
UFI's board of directors approved the selection during the UFI European Events Week 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The congress is the exhibition industry's annual gathering, bringing together industry leaders to network and exchange ideas. The event rotates among different regions each year.
The 2027 congress will mark a return to the Americas following previous editions in Las Vegas in 2023 and Bogotá, Colombia, in 2014. The 2025 congress will be held in Hong Kong and the 2026 event in Bahrain.
"Guadalajara promises to be a vibrant and welcoming stage for this essential global conversation in 2027," said Hugh Jones, UFI president and CEO of RX.
Gustavo Staufert Buclon, CEO of the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the city recently hosted AFIDA and IFES conferences.
Trade Show Executive Magazine honors trade show industry excellence with GOLD 100 recognition
Trade Show Executive Magazine has announced its 2024 Gold 100 honorees, recognizing trade shows and industry professionals for their contributions to the exhibition sector.
The publication will honor the recipients at the Gold 100 Awards & Summit, scheduled for Oct. 14-17 at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs, California. Registration for the event opens July 15.
The Gold 100 list includes trade shows across multiple industries. Among the recognized events are AAO Annual Meeting, IAAPA Expo, Natural Products Expo West, IFT FIRST Annual Event & Expo, and The Car Wash Show.
Additional honorees include MODEX, GlassBuild America, PACK EXPO International, G2E – Global Gaming Expo, and ISC West. The list also features JCK, FABTECH, Summer Fancy Food Show, TPE24-TOTAL Product Expo, NATDA Trailer Show, and WEFTEC.
Trade Show Executive Magazine publishes the Gold 100 annually to highlight trade shows and professionals that demonstrate innovation and success in the exhibition industry.
IAEE opens registration for Expo! Expo! 2025
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has opened registration for its annual meeting and exhibition, scheduled for Dec. 8-10, 2025, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
The conference will feature learning zones focused on marketing, sales, event operations and artificial intelligence applications. An exhibition floor will include 250 vendors across more than 70 product categories.
"This year's program demonstrates how innovative approaches to education, networking and business development can transform not just individual careers, but entire events and organizations," said Marsha Flanagan, IAEE president and CEO.
The event targets professionals in the business-to-business exhibitions industry. Early registration rates are available through Oct. 17, with discounts for first-time attendees and certified professionals.
