Messe München joins forces with dmg events for Saudi show

Messe München and dmg events announced a partnership to bring the IFAT environmental technologies trade fair to Saudi Arabia in 2026, marking the brand's first entry into the Kingdom.

The debut edition of IFAT Saudi Arabia will be co-located with dmg events' Global Water Expo at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center from January 26-28, 2026. The events will focus on water, sewage, waste and raw materials management technologies.

Geoff Dickinson, CEO of dmg events, said: “GWE and IFAT is another example of dmg events supporting transformative growth in Saudi Arabia by bringing vital industries and expertise together, to achieve the ambitious goals set out in Vision 2030.

Stefan Rummel and Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Co-CEOs of Messe München, added: "Saudi Arabia presents immense opportunities for industry development, and dmg events' proven success in the region makes them the ideal launch partner for IFAT.

ICCA partners with AIME to boost business events

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has announced a new industry partnership with Asia Pacific Incentives and Meeting Event (AIME) aimed at expanding business opportunities for ICCA members across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and other global regions.

ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath signed the agreement with Talk2Media Events Director Matt Pearce and Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Julia Swanson during AIME 2026, held February 9-11 in Melbourne.

Senthil said: "ICCA's partnership with AIME signifies our commitment to supporting the growth of Asia Pacific meetings industry, which has experienced incredible growth over the past few years and continues to figure prominently on the world stage."

The partnership will focus on advocacy efforts to strengthen the international business events industry for destination enhancement. AIME is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and managed by Talk2Media Events.

IAEE to launch two new members-only events in June

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) is set to unveil two new members-only events on June 25, 2025, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.

The events include:

• Organizer Insights Summit (8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. ET)
  • Tailored to professionals managing exhibitions under 199,000 net square feet
  • Focuses on actionable strategies for small-scale show organizers
  • Supported by Discover Puerto Rico and Fern, an Nth Degree company
• Half-Day Healthcare Forum (1:30-5 p.m. ET)
  • Targets meeting professionals and exhibit managers in the healthcare sector
  • Addresses unique challenges within healthcare exhibitions and events
  • Title sponsor is New Orleans & Company

These specialized programs precede the IAEE Leadership Institute scheduled for June 26-27 at the same venue. The Leadership Institute aims to develop essential skills for future industry leaders and is limited to 50 attendees.

The Trade Show Executive's 'Fastest 50' is an annual recognition program that honors the 50 fastest-growing trade shows in the United States, based on three key metrics: net square feet of paid exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies, and total attendance.
